I wanted to get some writing done this weekend.  Unfortunately, the pills I’m on are making me too nauseous to concentrate for more than a few minutes at a time.  I decided to scroll through the Blogosphere and found this little gem posted by John Smith.

I do not understand the premium placed on virginity.  The perception of purity.  The desire to invest a deeper meaning in the sexual act.  It all ends up the same: some crying, some bleeding, and a lifetime of shame and disappointment.

Or a few million dollars.  Some of you might remember Natalie Dylan, the 22 year-old auctioning off her virginity?  I’ve tried to find updates on her story, but she’s 14 minutes in, and ticking.  I looked at her official page on Dennis Hoff’s Bunny Ranch site, but it doesn’t list a current high bid.  I suppose if you’re curious, you could e-mail her . . .

In any case, I’m indifferent to the auction.  If she can turn a decent buck off a single trick, good for her.  I haven’t got a problem with the fact that some dumb bastard with more money than brains will eventually pay to poke her.

I realized last night that yesterday’s article on Natalie Dylan had missed a few details.  Specifically, when considering why anyone would want to fuck a virgin, I failed to address the issue of Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

This headline was overshadowed by Hillary’s day-long testimony yesterday.  I was plugged into national news all day, listening to that Superbowl of Assholes.

There are so many places to go with this one – It was really CNN’s video clip about Natalie Dylan that caught my attention.  There are a lot of people you shouldn’t trust for your news, especially if you can’t make up your own mind about things.  In particular, be wary of any information outlet that is forced to dumb itself down for the sake of Public Decency.

Of course, that doesn’t stop them from offering a fucking T-shirt.
