Bourbon
Bourbon
My love affair with bourbon is no secret. For the uninitiated, bourbon is a distinctly American breed of whiskey. It comes on strong, biting you on the tongue. Then it seduces your mouth with a menagerie of flavors – vanilla, caramel, smoke and spice. Bourbon is America’s official spirit; by law it much contain at least 51% corn, and is aged in charred white oak barrels. This combination gives the whiskey its signature color and flavor. Best enjoyed neat, at room temperature, or over ice.

Tennessee Whiskey
There is a popular misconception that Jack Daniel’s is bourbon. Despite several similarities, Tennessee whiskey goes through an extra step. Before going into the barrel, Jack Daniel’s filters the raw distillate through charcoal, mellowing the spirit and giving it a sootier character. This step is called the Lincoln County Process.
