What a Knockout

I hate working with other people. When I’m stuck working with certain co-workers, I am forced to listen to Big Boy’s Neighborhood.
He was doing his “Phone Tap” bit, a prank phone call sketch with no other purpose than to wind up some poor, unsuspecting bastard. He calls under some vaguely legitimate premise, but the sketch quickly degrades into harassment.
The “punchline” comes when the person on the other end of the phone completely loses their temper and proceeds to scream profanities and threats.
And that’s the joke.
I have never found this sort of humor funny. There is never an apology, or compensation, it is strictly harassment. I’ve had pranks played on me, and I’ve been harassed. There is no humor in deliberately pushing someone until they completely lose their temper.
I should also add that those who hang up, at any point, are called back repeatedly until the bit has run its course.
There is something to be said for a person who keeps their head under difficult circumstances. I recognize ball-busting for what it is, but there is a difference between jocularity and harassment. I never back down from a debate, and I’m the first one to call out a douchebag when I see one.
However, when someone else initiates action against you (especially for the amusement of their fans and the popularity of their show) and persists in harassing you, depriving you of your peace of mind, then they deserve an ass beating.
This same principle can be applied to any situation where one person eggs on another strictly because they can. They hide behind the assumption that they are somehow protected.
A certain girl who spent the summer on the Jersey Shore found out that sometimes there are consequences when you act like a cunt. I’m not saying violence against women is right, necessarily . . .
But that bitch fucking deserved it.
